Tooth Coloured Fillings

These are highly aesthetic fillings made of tooth-coloured materials, usually composite resins. The fillings are bonded to your teeth to improve your smile and well being, by changing the colour and look of a tooth, building up of lost tooth structure & closing up unsightly spaces between teeth. These white fillings can also be placed instead of amalgam fillings, which detract from an otherwise beautiful smile. Porcelain fillings are also available an offer a highly realistic look.

Crown

Covering the entire surface of the tooth, Porcelain Crowns provide numerous aesthetic and functional benefits to patients.

Crowning is necessary when a tooth is in a poor condition. This is the case when a tooth begins to crack, break, is diseased or badly decayed. These conditions may be caused from; a large filling, the ageing of the tooth, improper bite, grinding, poor oral hygiene, trauma to the mouth or after Root Canal treatment.

Increased strength and stability are the major structural advantages provided by Porcelain Crowns. This method of treatment also produces aesthetic results; with the Crown having the same colour, texture and translucency as your existing teeth. The procedure generally requires two dental visits.

Bridge

Research has shown that missing teeth can lead to faster gum disease and tooth decay if the area is left open. Missing teeth may also disrupt the alignment of the other teeth. Dental bridge work involves the creation of one or more false teeth to replace missing teeth. Generally, the teeth on either side of the space are prepared to anchor the false tooth or teeth in place. Unlike a removable partial denture, this dental bridge work is fixed in the mouth and cannot be removed by the wearer.

This procedure usually takes two appointments to complete. Since the Bridge must be carefully constructed to match your natural teeth and ensure a correct bite, impressions of the teeth are taken and sent to the lab, which will construct the Bridge. Temporary Crowns will be placed to protect the exposed teeth until the next appointment.

Veneers

Veneers are an excellent way of enhancing the shape and colour of a tooth, which can greatly improve the appearance of your teeth and smile. They are generally best used to treat defects in the front teeth. Although we can offer resin veneers, ceramic is the most ideal material for the construction of a dental veneer as it is the strongest, most durable and most aesthetic material available. Ceramic can also better reflect light, offering the natural translucency of tooth enamel therefore achieving a flawless and appealing natural result.
